A limiting factor with tandens is packaging/shipping. I'm fairly certain, that even stripped down to the bare frame that it'll need to be shipped via freight which makes logistics very difficult and shipping extremely expensive. It wouldnt suprise me if shipping alone is $150-200 within the continental U.S. Tack on another $50-75, possibly $75-100 for a local bike store to properly box it up.

+1. Its all about condition, so pictures of your bike, and a description of the components is needed to provide any meaningful guidance.

+1. Shipping a tandem is pretty costly. You will need to live near a major metro area to facilitate local pickup, either through ebay or more likely, Craigs List.
