Baronia German Bike
Hi, my name is Tammy and we would like to know if anyone has knowledge about this brand of bike. It is a Baronia which is German made, and it is post world war ll we think. It has all original parts and paint, a few dings and I will attach some chips but overall in pretty good condition. I can send some pictures to anyone who would like to see it. my email address is tamara-110@live.com. thank you

OMG! I can't believe someone remembered this ancient brand.
Baronia was manufactured in West Germany and imported to the US to be a low cost competitor to the balloon tire Schwinns, Columbias and Roadmasters in the mid-50s. Baronias were sturdy bikes, but lacked any glitz that the chromed Schwinn's and Roadmasters had. To be honest, they were boring, but well made.
I recieved mine well before I should have been given a bike of that size, so I sort of grew into it. It served me well for over 8 years as a fun bike and a working, delivery and newsboy bike, before I sold it to a neighbor.
Baronia lost favor because they were lackluster in appearance, sold by department stores and the decrease in the value of the dollar made them less competitive.

Well, that's a pretty cool bike, and definitely matches what Roccobike said. Mid-50's bike, clearly made for the American market (you won't see anything like that in Germany). The fact that it's a man's frame, has a gas tank, and balloon tires, are all good; lady's frame, skinny tires, etc. are less valuable to the people interested in a "cruiser."
What's it worth? Since it's not a Schwinn, I'm afraid there won't be that much interest; but still, I'd guess you could get $150 - $200 for it with patience, less if you're in a hurry.

WOW again! With the exception of the chainguard, that's exactly the bike I had as a kid. My chain guard was painted. I think it said "Baronia" on it. Otherwise, identical.
Considering it's age, that's in excellent condition. It will fetch a few dollars only because of its condition and maybe because it is an uncommon name.
I'd agree with the $200 estimate, but it will take the right buyer.
