Tommasini Presitge w/ Full C-Record

Came across this bike and looking for some help with value. Thanks for the advice.

For sale is my Tommasini road bike decked out with a full Campy C-Record group. Bought in 1988 for $3800 and then put away in storage after a couple of rides. It has been stored all this time and has never been ridden. This bike is in near mint condition. A real find for a collector.

- 58cm Tommasini Frame hand build in 1987-88
- COLUMBUS SL tubing frame and fork
- Awesome silver and gold scale over black paint job.
- As I said FULL Campy C-Record group with Delta brakes
- 170 length crank arms
- Of course Italian threads on headset and bottom bracket
- Regal Girardi seat
- Cinelli stem and bars(65-40)
- Ambrosio AERO rims

+1. Thats the entry level price for an Italian bike w/ Deltas. Alot will depend on the frame size (58cm is a popular size) and time of year its sold.

Thanks guys, I kinda figured it would be around that ballpark. Is C-Record with Deltas worth significantly more than older super record? I'm not sure that i'm 100% sold on the Deltas, but they sure seem to pull big bucks on ebay.

Yes, it is.

If you have a mechanic to set up the Deltas, you're aces.

I happen to have one and I still don't use them.

Yes, they will pull big bucks on ebay.

The bike you are looking at should be left intact. imho

I have owned four of this brand, but none of them are as nice as this one.

The paint is quite unique, and holds a great deal of visual interest for me.

Many positives for this bike and zero minuses.

Buy it and enjoy it. That's my recommendation.

want my extremely biased opinion? (tommasini owner/campy enthusiast)

i wouldnt flinch if you said you paid ~$2000 for it.

-tommasinis ride great
-tommasini never "sold out" and had frames manufactured outside their walls
-unique paint
-record deltas
-campagnolo aero pedals
-fully shrouded c-record rear derailleur
-perfect stem for build
-perfect rims for c-record build

Lot's of fans of the brand!

The above are all very important reasons to closely consider the bike.

I love mine, and will never part with her.

Thirdgenbird's price assessment is probably better than mine by the way.

there is a lot of emotion in my assessment but at the same time there are a lot of valuable parts on that bike and the whole thing looks clean.

piecing a bike together like this would take a fair amount of time. that alone is worth something.

In general yes but it depends on the condition.

Sell the bike as is on ebay with a buy it now price and I am sure you can get 2200 dollars.
However, this is not the best period of year to sell bikes. You should wait until july in my opinion.

C-Record is the group that`s worth the most at the moment i think. Your pedals are worth up to 200 dollars.

Thank again guys. I'm still on the fence as to whether I should spend the cash (as I should be saving to buy a house). I appreciate all the advice.

Clearly, a value.

It's much nicer than my Tommasini Sintesi.

At $1500 you certainly wouldnt loose money in the long term but $1500 is $1500. The SR group is a good buy at $650....not a great buy, but a good buy.
