Univega Arrow Pace
I live in Portland where bikes are very over priced usually. I stumbled upon this bike: https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/bik/3069333007.html which actually doesn't seem that bad. Is the arrow pace an entry level, mid level, or what? Also any info on the weight? Thanks! This looks like a good bike but I am unsure. My dad has a via montega. Which one would be a better bike and lighter?

I just sold a 58cm Univega Arrow Pace, mid 1980s, with Shimano indexed 6-speed SIS, Biopace cranks, and early Shimano aero levers. I can't see the Craigslist ad, but mine was a green/aqua with a white seat tube. I refurbed it, added white bar tape, white housings. Strada tires from Performance. Sold for $275. It rode very nicely - a sporty race-like geometry.

There was an Arrow Pace SS conversion on the NY CL recently. The asking price was $225.

To the OP, don't know your Dad's model. My Arrow Pace weighed ~26.5 lbs. Not sprightly, but it was a decent riding bike. Sporty. Phil G.

I responded to them immediately after seeing it but it had already been sold. It was also white and aqua. It appears like it was too good to be true!

80's 58CM frame Green/Aqua/white with hideously clashing green bar tape, Shimano 6 Speed SIS, Biopace, alloy rack, brake levers stripped of suicide handles. Front wheel replaced with a steel rim after I had a small crash. Wired for computer, but no head unit. Rides beautifully. Asking $175/BO. Not bad for a trash pick!
