Late 80s Schwinn Sprint womans bike.
Hello, i was hopeing someone here may be able to help me put a price on this bike.
Its in really great shape with minimal wear and it even shifts and stops well even though it hasent been adjusted since who knows when. the only bad thing i can point out is the saddle is obviously not original and the tires are weather cracked and would need to be replaced.
I couldent find a year stamped anywhere on the frame but from searching schwinn sprints i have seen many this style that are late 80s.
Could anyone estimate a selling price? i live in a very bike oriented state and would like to sell local.
I will post a few more pictures tomorrow afternoon of some detail parts with a better camera.
for now this is what i have to show.

In Nevada a gaspipe schwinn like that would go for around $60-$100. I'm not sure about Maine, but in most places it would go for even less.
Sprints were near the bottom of Schwinn's lineup so there's not much collector appeal for them.

Either an 84 or 85 judging by the decals, there will be a four digit number stamped into the headbadge that gives the day and last digit of the year it was made (I always forget whether it's DDDY or YDDD). The Sprint was the bottom-of-the-line road model. For a bike with older tires and that hasn't been overhauled, you'll be lucky to get $60.

I agree with TERVR's assessment.
From the decals and color, it appears to be a 1985 ladies Sprint. These bikes were at the low end of the Schwinn road bike line-up, and although the Sprint appeared in the 1985 catalog, the model was considered too entry level to merit listing the specs on the specifications page.
