Ambrosio adjustable stem
I'll list this on here and was wondering what a fair price or trade value would be. What do you think?

They are valuable/sought after. The final year for the Ambrosio marked ones was 1964-65. After that they would have been marked Tecno Tubo Torino (3TTT). Italian term "regolabile."
Will be interested to read what the experts have to say regarding FMV.

It's an "acquired taste" item, as they are frankly,......... kinda crude and fugly.....
But they could bring in a couple of hundred bucks if sold to the right persons..

They are only made where the angle is ~72 degree, unlike a purpose made track stem which would have a more acute angle.
One thing they can be handy for is if a given mount has more than one rider.
They can also be an aid for sizing/fit (1950's "fitkit").

Adjustable stems with a sliding extension are often generically referred to as Major Taylor stems, after the famous TOC cyclist. I've read that he invented the style but I'm wondering if it's more a case of him having popularized them, being the most famous of the early proponents.
Regarding price, I have a project that could use one, so I've been following prices fairly closely for the past couple of years. The A&P I've been seeking typically go for $200-$250. The Ambrosio are typically under $200. Given the condition, I'd place this sample around $175.

I never got these sense they are a expensive track oriented stem that no serious track rider would use. That said in slightly rough condition it should fetch the insane price of $150-250. I would list at $80 starting with $200 buy it know price and see what happens..
