Which Bianchi did I buy?
Hi, I've been lurking for a while and decided to post a question. I recently bought a nice celeste Bianchi, although it was purely due to asthetics- kind of like the way I buy wine...on sale and how the label appeals to me. I know it is not the smartest way to purchase something but it is in nice shape and I've wanted a Bianchi for several years. Anyway, it is an 8 speed, around 1994 I believe. The seller advertised it as a Bianchi "veloce", though I can find no such word on the bike. It is all campagnolo (though low end possibly) and was complete and original before I changed the stem for a shorter version. Would you be so kind as to look at the pictures and let me know what model this is? And if you have some thoughts as to value, that would be appreciated as well. Thanks much.

Hi Ralph Welcome to the forums. Interesting looking Bianchi. is it in the US? is the Tubing CroMor and I can't see a brand on the rims are the F.I.R.?
if this is what it appears to be it is from the '93 Reparto Corse calalog (to my knowledge the only year they made one). it came as a bare frame/fork or as a complete bike. this bike like most true RC models is named stricly by the frame and component group and called Cromor Veloce 8v TSC.

That is a Really nice bianchi. The chrome fork and rear stays suggest upper range.
I've got an all Celeste compione d' italia that doesn't compare. Trade?

Bianchi girl, I have read many of your posts and hoped that you would have some insight. Thank you so much for the information. Yes the bike is a US model - I am told. The tubing is Cromor and the rims are Campagnolo (Omecron 6061 Alloy). It seems a little heavy, but it rides very smoothly. I really need to get a 13-26 rear cassette if I am going to ride around Martinez, Ca. In the past week, I have learned that the 13-26 cassette is about the only thing I can do to help the gear ratio, as I can not put a triple crank on without many other modifications.

Cromor Veloce 8v TSC.
One more question if I may. Why do the components NOT say Veloce anywhere (I've seen other components of the campy variety that had the word veloce, I think) Also, what does the TSC mean? Thanks for your help.
