Bianchi 1987 with Shimano 105 group, needs seat/post/tires 47cm for $150? Quick!
This is the bike, please let me know fast!
I'm guessing working 105 component group is worth $150 alone. It doesn't have drop handlebars and the seat/post could cost me about $40 installed, maybe less if I go to an LBS and buy something used.
It's a 47cm and I'm 5'6" so it's a little small for me, but I don't mind it being smaller as I do mind it being too big.

If I buy a bike for me I dont buy one too small for me.
If you want it, get it and make it work. plan on spending for seatpost, saddle, bars, brakes, cables, housings, tires and tubes.
Factor that in and see if your budget allows it. If it does then go for it. If not then wait for the next deal.

He had the drop bars, 105 brake levers (one is warped), a slightly torn seat so I picked it up! I'm gonna tune it up, hit up LBS for cheap used seat post

I would like to know how the seller measured it. the smallest listed in the catalog is 50cm
I do think it is too small for you but people here are always loking for smaller frames. so for 150 for the bike (if the seller has the ccomplete 105 group) is not bad since you may be adle to trade up frame size kinda easy.

I think he measured incorrectly. I stand over it and I have about an inch of clearance straight legged between the center bar and my "valuables". I think it's a 50cm. I think it's my perfect size.
It has all the original Shimano 105 index components on it. The front brake lever was damaged in a drop. It's a little warped. He threw in the original drop handle bars with no tape and a beat up seat.
It's a chromoly steel made in Japan (I wish it was Italian) and even the fork is Chromoly.
It shifts very clean. It doesn't miss any gears or make any funny noises. It's my perfect size.
How can I restore it cheaply? I am falling in love with the bike the more I look at it.

sounds like a deal then. I have a bike with the same frame and it rides great.
other than a good cleaning what is there to restore? if one of the brake levers is unusable, just get a nice pair of tektro levers and you'll be all set.

Is the seat post for this bike 26.6? I need a seat post. Do you think Bell cables from Wal-Mart will work fine? I want to replace the cables. I also need tires. I'm gonna try to see if an LBS has some cheap used tires for me.
