Royce Union 18 Speed Mountain Bike
GIRLS ROYCE UNION 18 SPEED 24 IN MTN BIKE
Out of desperation, I'm considering getting this bike for my wife. She's a first-time rider and intends to ride only occasionally. An even bigger point is that she's a very petite lady so finding bikes that she can even stand over is extremely difficult unless you focus on the $500+ variants. We don't want to spend that amount of money. What would you offer for this bike? He's offering it for $40 but it's certainly not worth anywhere close to that. How can I offer him a lower amount without offending him?
We're going to look at it today.
Thanks!

If you are having that much trouble finding something for her to ride, $40, even for this bike, seems fair. Yes, not a great bike...but...so long as everything works...

Thank you!
I actually got it for $30!
The bike was in such good condition that I felt wrong offering even lower. The guy I bought it from really cleaned it up and adjusted everything. It was very nice.

I know it's an older thread, most of them are on these forums
I fix and flip bikes...and I tear them all down put a lot of work into each one...and everyone want's to beat the price down.
In My Opinion $ 40.00 as more than fair for that bike., For any bike actually that someone has put a lot of time into cleaning up
I'm cleaning up the guys version of that bike right now...just had it out for a ride around the block...it's smooth, and this one's been ridden hard.
Yes, everyone, I know it was a "cheapo dept. store bike", the standard answer
that's why there are sites like this...not to keep putting down the bikes , but to talk about how we fix them, or mod them...
it's what most people find and fix..
besides, who's paying over 500 bucks for a bike on here...huh? anyone.? that's crazy...
it's a bike.
best regards

Still learning
Then this must be a forum of crazy folk! I have a fairly large collection of bikes, including MTB, hybrid, tandem, and road bikes. They range in original acquisition cost from about $5 to $800.00, and at least at the extreme edges of this range the bikes were bought below FMV.
