1960s Schwinn Super Sport
I really (probably) don't need another bike but this one is somewhat enticing, size, vintage, I don't have ANY Schwinns.
Listing reads: New Front Tire
Needs a Good Home.
For sale for $75. Is that already a ridiculously low price?
Also, can anyone tell what that is on the NDS seat stay?
Any input appreciated.

bike is dirt cheap, scoop it up fast as you can, but i think you have a 71 or so. Guys are asking 150(which is fair) all the way up to a grand(which is greedy to say the least),,75 and it has the Brooks seat,,is an absolute steal and it is a kewl bike. I have an Opaqe Blue one.
Are you talking about the generator on the seat stay?
The frames on those bikes were hand built in Chicago and are very sought after.

Generator you say? Perhaps. My first guess was flag mounting pole.
So would that be original equipment to run that massive headlamp?

I thought that might be the case. I contacted the seller, we'll see.
Only concern now is the gun pictured in the Brooks photo. Incidental? There for scale? Warning, do not try to rob me for my $75 bike?

Rear wheel appears to be a steel replacement. +1 Saddle covers cost anyway.
Looks like a typical light kit from that era. Generator lights were a common add on, not original equipment.
