WTB/WTT: Dura Ace 10 Speed Down Tube shifters/7800 series

Looking for a set of 7800 Series Dura Ace down tube shifters. IIRC, these still have the ability to be used in friction mode if necessary. I have lost of stuff to trade and cash if need be.

+1. Mine don't allow friction shifting for the rear either. Just front.

SL-7800 10 speed DT shifters are switchable from friction to indexed. I have a few sets of these and they all are switchable by the "D" ring for the rear and only friction for the front. 7900 Series are indexed only!

The two poster claiming to have SL-7800 series DT shifters are incorrect and must not have SL-7800 series shifters.

Go here and look at the Shimano Technical Manuals for SL-7800 series Dura Ace.

The documents you want are SI-6J50B-000-ENG.pdf and SI-5V50E-000-ENG.pdf.

This gentleman is correct. Mine are indeed 7900 series and therefore not relevant. My apologies for muddying the waters.

Too bad you couldn't get the 7900 to work since nashbar has them for 50. I see used barcons going for over that.
