ISO: Rigid 26er MTB ~16" frame/fork or complete
I'd like to dip my feet into the drop-bar conversion hot tub.
Anybody have anything that fits the bill?
26" wheels
Decent tubing...looking for something relatively high end.
16" size or so? ETT should not be more than 22.0", preferably shorter
1" headtube preferred
Rigid fork required
Edit: canti/v only, no brakes under the chain stays please.
EDIT2: project bike found!

The Stumpy furthest from the camera:
Too small?
I've got a purple Rockadile in good nic as well, can't find the photo for it. Finally, a blue Trek 950 frame, cosmetically challenged.

Brakes under the rear stay aren't that bad really, and they showed up on a lot of nice MTBs in the late 1980s.
Myself, if possible, I would seek out one of the black chrome models. Several manufacturers/brands had them. I've seen them from Nishiki, Schwinn, Univega and others.
I set up two vintage MTBs for my wife, one a 1994 Trek 950 (TiG welded) and the other a 1992 Paramount series 70. One is 15 inch frame, the other is 15 1/2 inch frame. Neither are black chrome. 1993 was the last year for Trek 950s to have lugged frames.
The 1992 Paramount series bike made more sense for me, as I already had a 1992 Series 5, Series 7, and Series 9C. At one point, I had a series 3 as well.
In the late 1990s, several of the Schwinn Sierras and High Sierras had the black chrome frame. I have a 1990 Sierra (larger frame) in that same chrome finish.
