Super bike you found there.
Looks like it may as well be chromovelato, the one you linked to looks like the finish is just as delicate, with the "copper" scraped off the chrome plating scraped off in many places.

Chromovelato is actually a translucent spray finish over chrome, and is available in any color, including copper. Lacquer, polyurethane, anything that can be applied translucent.

Lovely bicycle, nonetheless. Dig that panto, all the way.

I agree with others, wonderful bike but I'm most impressed by the shots and angles you took. Simply fantastic. I've spent all weekend shooting bicycles and I think many forget how challenging it can be to showcase a particular element or part but still do it simply, artfully and in a way that draws you to click the next image.

My favorite is #10 . Excellent job on the front of acquisition and your images.

Yes. I couldn't tell much difference, at least from the pics. And I'll wager that real copper plating is as thin, if not thinner, than a tinted clear coat. I suppose they have to clear coat it anyway, to keep the copper from tarnishing.

Thank you so much for posting the pictures, it is a real treat. It must have some coating or the copper will oxidize and color shift.

Just curious, Cicli. I would guess they have nearly as much trouble getting real copper plating to stick to shiny chrome as they do clear coating. Maybe a little better adhesion. I'm just curious about this process. It seems to be quite fragile, but it sure is eye-catching. Especially this these copper colored ones.

Amazing bicycle.

Realized I didn't know how to pronounce the name so of course I consulted Wiki, and found this. Pretty cool. Maybe everyone else already knew that. Whatever.

The company name originated as an acronym for the phrase “W l’Italia liberata e redenta”, where the W is an abbreviation for "Viva!"[SUP][1][/SUP](Long live Italy, liberated and redeemed).

founded 1906 in Trieste, that was time for super national feelings here in the country. time for warriors, wars, epic poets and dirty heroes riding first GIROs routes. after WWII the trieste area, like berlin but just a fex know, was devided in 1946 in two sectors, italian and jugo. good guys vs bad guys. that enphatized the nationalistic feeling in town and the company remarked it adding TRIESTINA to the original yet poetic brand. more or less this is part of the story

Copper plating on top of chrome? I wouldn't even begin to understand the reasoning behind that if it were true

I agree with rootboy: Chromovelato. You can see some is missing on the driveside fork leg, typical of this finish as it never really was all that durable. A fantastic, beautiful bike but in the interests of accuracy, a CV finish vice brass plated.

I'm also impressed with the photography - I've always wanted to know how to get really great results such as these while messing about with depth of field settings. The art still eludes me
