The Fork Crown*

*(maybe the word crown could be lightly wrapped with a crown of thorns vine)

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
...the Sixth Day.

Glad you like it, and that it was taken in the playful spirit it was offered. I hope I win!

yeah, what's the prize? Free stand time at the co-op?

Also, I wonder if I can write this off. I mean, I spent a good 15 minutes thinking of names and my rate for creating a brand identity is outrageous!

your write off rate is between you and your IRS auditor. and the prize is a free membership for life!! (the coop is free to everyone anyway).

good news: the first official co-op member started working on her (new) bike today. We are also thinking of designing a sticker that we can attach to all bikes that come out of the shop. so the name is of paramount import at the moment. decision is either tonight or tomorrow. the next contest will be the logo: and the prize will be free stickers!! you know you want them.

heck, the name prize winner also gets free stickers. its official. once we get the name, the design, and the stickers made. make sure to stab me once in a while to make sure I am getting on it.

If it becomes Don Cycleone, I want a sticker.

See? instant fundraiser.

I just thought of another: REMCycle.

...as dumb as it may sound, the stickers are very popular at our co-op.

OK. there was some close runners up@! but the Co-op will be ........drum roll...... @repechage

Backstage Bikes

Runners up were

Dons on the Pedals
Hilltop Hub

(there is still some debate on this.. but we need to make a decision!!) In the end, location trumped fun!!! But since at the moment, its mostly theatre people... might as well pay homage to its space and origins.

Excellent and thanks for the help!! next up is the LOGO!

...sadly, you will soon enough discover that the most difficult thing about running a bike co-op is exactly this. #goodluck

I think Backstage Bikes is a very good choice.

Here is an idea for a logo - an illustration of a bike hanging from some ropes and sandbag rigging, just below would be the text Backstage Bikes.

Idea #2 - a metal door but instead of "backstage door" painted on it it would say "backstage bikes" using a font that looks like the old industrial paint stencils.

#3 - "Backstage Bikes" written in light bulbs on a theater marquee.
