¿What can you tell me about this WWII German bike?
Hi,
I'm Camilo, from Colombia.
This is my granpa's bike. He used it to go to work and to get the materials to build the family house in the 50's.
I haven't find another bike like this in my country and know very few about it.
I'd like to lnow more about it.
Thanks!

Is the brand Lord? I've never heard of it. The design seems very similar to the old Raleigh DL-1 also known as the Raleigh Tourist. I think they last made it in 1979. It is in production in China as the Flying Pigeon and in India by another name. I don't remember the Indian name.
If you love this bike, you can put in a lot of work so you can ride it, but it is not an investment that will pay money back. Do it for love.

Hello--very interesting bike! Can you read what it says on the headbadge? I can't see it in the photo.

Hello Camilo,
Welcome to BF ! You sure jumped in here with a nice bike. Don't think it is German, I believe it is English as the handle bars say.
What led you to believe it was German ?

The headbadge might be German. I think I see the word "Qualität" underneath the Lord brand name.

Seriously, the poster would need to look over the whole bike and give us any names that are found on it.

Well... It is a nice bike, but whatever it is, it definitely isn't german. The headbadge might be, but despite the word "Qualität" the bike itself isn't.
Believe me on this, I am from Germany and have literally seen thousands of bikes from that era. This resembles none of them. Looks to be english.

So, it looks like made in England (maybe by Raleigh, maybe by an imitator) and sold in Germany. The question is when. If it has a Sturmey-Archer three-speed hub in the rear, you should find the year of manufacture stamped on it. More info here.

Well, it's old. Other than that I can't find anything out about it on the web. Nothing on a Lord bicycle and none of the old head badges I could find, English or German, seem to match the one on your bike. It might be an early Triumph, but that's only a guess. Triumph occasionally used the wheel and wing emblem your bike displays. Post these pictures on the Old Roads website. Some real experts on old bicycles use that site and they'll have fun identifying this one.

If that doesn't work, email your photos to these guys. I recommend sending them to the Library section.
