It's been an unbelievably lean snow year here in Vermont. I'd be surprised if we've had much over a foot for the year to date. There's maybe an inch on the ground right now. The only year like it I can remember was 1979, and even then we got a little snow late in the winter.

It's pretty weird, because the temps are in the teens Fahrenheit, so it's drifting rather than sticking good. In spots, you can see the ground, but in other spots, you could lose a car or a person. More snow is coming over the weekend, but the worst is here, I think. For now, anyways.

A dubious distinction.
I prefer snow in the mts, which are close by; but no snow here below 1,000 elevation. I have a steep section of driveway that has to be shoveled if we get even a bit of snow.

I live in N Lower Michigan (up near the bridge), we get more snow than we need. Most of the time we locals dont measure it.

PNW dweller here noting the best of both worlds this winter; great big snow dumps in the mountains up high; nothing at all below 1000 ft level, which is where I live. Warm and wet in town and foothills.

Well, they're calling for another 8-12" through tomorrow afternoon. We got around 4" with the so-called Arctic blast earlier, so it might still happen, with the lake effect snow. This time of year kinda sucks anyways, so we might as well brag about how it sucks worse here, than wherever ya'll are.
