Merckx/Campy: Help in IDing vintage shifters and recommending a fix.
Hi all,
I inherited an Eddy Merckx from my step-father and it has become my primary road bike. A problem has developed with the rear shifters. I believe the rear shifters are Campy Chorus 8, but I don't know for sure. The small shifter no longer recoils and flaps around like a broken chicken leg. I've improvised a fix by using a rubberband on the outside that is wrapped around so that it pulls the lever into position, and the fix works relatively well. But, I need to properly repair it.
Can you help me ID these shifters?
Can you recommend a source for, what I'm assuming, is a broken/missing spring?
Thank you in advance.

Yes, that looks like 2nd or 3rd Gen Chorus.
I've heard that the early Campy brifters had some fragile internal parts that do tend to wear and break after some time. Not sure if you can get NOS internal parts for them, you might have to replace the whole lever assembly.
Nice EM, BTW!
