I'm looking for a 531 frame set in 56cm, for use as a single speed city bike.
As such I'd like it to be something without a derailler hanger, or any braze-on's for that matter, so a late 60's, early 70's road bike would be ideal.
Paint or rust is no issue, as long as it is not rusted out, or the bb threads gone.
If French threaded, I'd like the inclusion of a head-set and BB.
If English, I'm covered.
A Japanese frame in butted Cro-mo is ok, but I doubt there is one without all the braze-on's or der-hanger.
Something that has been cleanly "drewed" could be ideal.

I'm looking for a beat up touring frame, 56-58cm. Want one that's made for 700c wheels, or has brakes that would reach. I would like sidepull brakes over the typical center-pull touring brakes, but thats not a big deal. If it's beat up, that's a plus. I find the worse your bike looks, the less attention it gets. I will be riding through some poorer countries, don't want to look to flashy. I'm really just looking for a frameset, and maybe a 40 spoke rear wheel.
I have a 61cm triple butted, lugged Ishiwata frame from 1986. I also have a lugged Stumpjumper Sport size M (about 52cm) that I think is from 1984. I can send pictures if anyone is interested and wants to trade.

I can pay actual money if it's one I like. Otherwise I have a 61cm triple butted, lugged Ishiwata frame from 1986. I also have a lugged Stumpjumper Sport size M (about 52cm) that I think is from 1984. I can send pictures if anyone is interested and wants to trade.

Please edit............the mods will not tolerate any mention of purchase here. Once you take it to PM's or email you can cook it up any way you like.

A Campy QR nut similar to this one:
A pair of Nuovo Record era QR nuts or a full set of Nuovo Record era skewers with the nuts.
Let me know if you've got any languishing in the junk drawer, and perhaps we can hash something out.

Thanks to jonwvara:
This is a Ross Centaur CX flatbar hybrid. The stem is the last bit I needed for the drop conversion. If it feels good, this will be my long distance tourer. I was hoping I could use the cable hole in the stem but I don't have any nice non-aero brake levers right now, so I went with the RX100.

Deore XT front derailleur?
Hey folks-- Just snagged a 1988 MB/2 frame I'm gonna build into a drop-bar project. Came with a Deore XT RD-M730 rear mech.
ISO: A bottom-pull, 28.6 clamp, triple Deore XT FD-M730 front derailleur, or M732, or even M550. Looking for one that passes the "TEN-foot test."
For trade: I have a very nice Suntour Superbe Pro FD, and a Shimano 600 Arabesque FD. Other bits for trade here. PM me and we can work something out!
Thanks!

LORD_ATHLON Is this what you're looking for. I've PM'd you but haven't heard. Are the cranks gone? Got something else? Chainrings in decent shape?

ISO:
Black shimano BR-M732 or 734 Cantilever brakeset. Don't need levers but would consider them if they are a necessary part of the deal.
I will consider other black cantilever brakes like paul, machine tech, control tech, no dia-compe or suntour... just not going to do that with a full shimano group and levers.
Have:
Various MTB, road and touring type parts, components, chainrings, etc etc.... If you have these I am sure I can find something in my stash you would like.
Things here are for trade:

I have a Stronglight 99 crankset, 170 arms--the newer version that uses the standard-threaded extractor. Threads and tapers are good, it's cosmetically average, I'd say. Looking to trade it for a Model 93. I'm mainly interested in the arms, but an exchange involving the chainrings could maybe be negotiated, too.
Also a JIS 3U spindle--42 mm on left side, 52 center, 40.5 on drive side, 124.5 overall. I have other spindles and some additional trade goods.
