ISO:

Almost any low flange 36h front road hub as long as the cones are good. I'd prefer something free....

That would be perfect!
Hmm ... not much, since I am new. But I do have a couple of things - I have a 28h Sturmey Archer S3C (2010), some Sakae pedals (these). Anything specific you are looking for?

I understand new, don't worry, as I have no plans for a French build I can let this go for something I can use

What we need to find out is will this post have enough length to fit your build . It is on the short size as in the French way of having as much frame as possible under you. We like small frames and long posts. Which do you need, can you estimate the length your fit will need. I have the JPR offsite so can't give exact number.

Let me know

I had one of those, but it turned out to be a 20mm. Didn't know they came that small. I'll keep an eye out.

I have the bike stripped down to the frame right now, and only just starting to put the parts back on. The frame is my size (58cm), so I hope I don't need a whole lot of post on it ...

Hmm ... perhaps I could wrap a yoghurt container or a beer can around to make it fit?

ISO 32 hole rear freewheel hub. American Classic/White Industries/Hi E/Phil Woods/etc. sealed bearing type. Anodized alloy; no color. You tell me what you need in exchange. Also much to trade.

Thanks,

ISO Campy SR rear and clamp on front derailleurs. Don't have to be perfect either. Could also work with a decent NR set also.

ISO, Saddle rail cradle for zero offset seatpost. THis would be a half circle and it needs to be 1-1/8" or 28.6 OD (that's the widest part) I would like it to be silver as it is to replace one like that pictured below.

You'll have to add a 2.5mm washer/spacer to whatever hubs you go with, I reckon. Track hubs are 120mm or 110mm for older ones.

Want: long reach 49-57mm rear nutted brake. Prefer modern dual pivot. I have a front shimano r650 brake so that would be best.

have:
195-1055 brakes, rd, some nice 27.2 seat posts, da7700 172.5 crank (rough cosmetic ), other stuff

Looks like about 3" of visible post will do it for me. LMK if the JPR is long enough. Would love it if it worked!

I don't have any, but one of the few black ones I can think of are the black composite campy ones.

I think he meant flat bAck vs. concave, not flat bLack, vs. polished.

If he means flat bLack, Origin 8 sells them, or the Campy composite.
If he means flat bAck, many that came with later-version STI's were flat bAck.
Or, a piece of medium sandpaper and about 10 minutes on a concave one will produce a flat bAck one.

I am looking for a source for the old style Sturmey Archer shift cable adjuster barrel. I want to convert my new style anchors to the much cleaner look of the old (fixed-length) cables. I can probably adapt a newer one but the old style are longer to allow clearance for the cable end.

Thanks

You can find them on ebay, but the selection is limited.

Or you can make your own cables. For the ends, you crimp fishing line leader onto the cut end of a cable. You need a tool like this:

Thanks RHM, but I already am able to do the cable ends. What I am looking for is the barrel adjuster that captures the cable end. The thing that is marked X4 in the pic.

You can also just solder the connection between leader and cable, and avoid using the crimper. This means you need a soldering gun.

Don's Bicycles and Sports in Wilson NC has a drawer full of that stuff. He's not on line, but you can call him. Great guy, C&V friendly.
