I understand new, don't worry, as I have no plans for a French build I can let this go for something I can use
What we need to find out is will this post have enough length to fit your build . It is on the short size as in the French way of having as much frame as possible under you. We like small frames and long posts. Which do you need, can you estimate the length your fit will need. I have the JPR offsite so can't give exact number.
