mom sent me some embroidery thread to finish bar tape, and i won't be needing all this bright blue thread. it's actually really bright, like turquoise. also have the green and purple/lavender i won't be using.
i used some white thread on my newest build, atop black bar tape, and it looks wonderful when finished with clear lacquer nail polish. shellac makes it look too much like twine.

Hey Rob…The Milano is a pure track bar…the 65-XX is a Criterium bar…sorta a hybrid between a track and road bar.
BTW…I rolled through your burg late at night the other day, heading back from the OBX towards Lexington…tried both Western and Eastern NC BBQ for the first time (Bar-B-Q Center and Skylight Inn, respectively) and would have to say that I prefer the Western/Lexington style.

yeah, i can be pretty flamboyant when it comes to putting the finishing touches on a classic build. but not as flamboyant as turquoise or lavender. others of you have bikes with beautiful paints that could actually pull these colors off without a hitch.
and actual turquoise looks brilliant when worn by a dark skinned person. there's certainly nothing wrong with that.

I picked up a two week rental from a homeless shelter shop my brother-in law volunteers at. An Araya from the mid 70s. It has these mechs.--the first time I've ever seen them. Wonderful riding bike, despite the bent fork.

Not exactly. I'm looking for one of the two models that postdates that one. Let me see if I can dig up a pic....... the interwebz delivers
If you have the bits for that and don't want it, though, I do have what appears to be the same computer module that may or may not work. What do you need in trade?

I'm halfheartedly looking for early Dura Ace hubs, such as these (thanks, Velobase!):
I'd consider individual parts, the whole set, or complete wheels.
Have all kinds of stuff to trade... Campy hubs, Weyless hubs, Sunshine Pro-Am hubs, leather saddles, and more... lots more.

I've got a 'big-pile-o-crap', but I don't feel it needs to be shipped anywhere. That said, why don't people put in their true locations so this becomes more efficient?

I might be interested in the suntour shifters, the beat up wrights, and the freewheel if you have pics.
I have an avocet touring saddle and I think both a vetta and a s italia. I know the Avocet is black. One of the others might be white. I know I have some white bar tape too-- maybe a cheaper deda and then a NOS leather-like vintage roll.
PM if interested and have pics. I'll take some too.

I've got a Suntour Blue Line group, just took it off a 1983 Trek 600. Front and rear derailleur and clamp on downtube shifters. They are in real nice shape. Looking for a set of Dura Ace 7700 bar ends, 9 speed. I'll add pictures to this post when I get some in good light.

the shifters are all there, the freewheel got marred up when my tool slipped on it, and the wrights is just old and a bit crusty but im sure there is a little life left.
