What's was with the "Super" bikes in the 70's and early 80's? I have a Raleigh Super Grand Prix and a Centurion Super Le Mans. Both are gas-pipe bikes and there's nothing super about them - fairly plain-jane as a matter of fact. Did the marketing guys really think we were that gullible?

Looking for: a rim, one of several types possible.
I need a 32 hole clincher FIR that looks like this:
OR:
A 32h 27' Super Champion silver clincher
OR:
a 40h gold anno 700c tubular
OR
a 27' Ambrosio 32h clincher, silver...older style (not sure on model)
If you have anything that looks vaguely like the above, I'll take it. If you have a 32-40 rim set that's not terribly low quality, I'll take it. I'd take a 40h Sun rim if it would be easy for me to find a 32 match.

I'm swapping out drop bars for a riser bar on a Motobecane mixte for my wife. I need some levers suitable for a straight bar type setup. All of the levers I have are for drop bars (curved levers). I could just go out and buy a cheap set of Tektros, but I don't think they would look right on this bike (the Dimension 600 bar is already departure enough from C&V). They will be pulling on some Weinmann Vainqueur center pulls. I imagine even something from and old Schwinn three-speed would do the trick. Watcha got?
I've got all sorts of small parts: stems, brake levers, derailleurs, etc. Let me know what you're looking for.

ISO: clamp-on chainstay cable stop that looks somewhat nice - all I've found so far are pieces of rust, and fancy Campy ones on ebay. Also in search of a FD that has more "curve" to it, and is "shorter" in the cage -- all the mountain ones I've tried are hitting the chainstay. I offer: triangle shaped Shimano 600 pedals (in pieces), XT and Deore FDs, RX100 RD, other random stuff. Try me.

ISO.. 1.) Quill stem: 120mm - 130mm in reach to fit 25.4m bar diameter. Prefer SR Sakae brand.
