Depends on what model you're talking about. The spendy Ideale's - which sport aluminum rails - are rare, the reason they bring the Francs...err Yen. The one on this bike is mostly likely of the run-of-the-mill variety.

Vintage Bridgestone MB-1, 1991 - $400 (Inman Square, or deliver)

Date: 2009-12-08, 5:35PM EST
Reply to: sale-zsmzh-1501237743@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Hi, I am selling a 1991 vintage Bridgestone MB-1 mountain bike. this was the top of the line back then, and sold for over $1000. A friend ended up with it as payment for a job, and he gave it to me. Its really too small for me, so I used my MB-2 mostly!
so, it doesn't have may miles and is in great shape.

Drop me a line with any offer, and let me know your interest! this is a classic butted frame, very springy steel bike, with NO shocks!. Needs new tubes, perhaps a new seat and tires.

thanks !

Vintage Frame and Fork - $1 (Foxboro)

Date: 2009-12-08, 12:26PM EST
Reply to: sale-hmxha-1500666359@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This bike was a one-off built by Shogun to use on the show circuit in 1988. There was not enough demand from dealers to warrant putting the bike into production, so this is the only one ever made. A friend of mine who worked for Shogun's North American distributor at the time snagged it for himself. It's been in his possession for the last 21 years until I convinced him to sell it to me recently. I bought it for the full Dura Ace groupset as the frame is too small for me.

This post is only for the bare frame, fork, and Dura Ace headset. Eveything else has been removed since the pictures were taken. If you are interested in the mint condition Vetta saddle or Nitto bars and stem, please let me know as they are available too.

Here are the specs:
54cm (c-c) seattube and toptube.
Tange Premier Tubing.
Chrome fork crown.
Forged Shimano dropouts (horizontal rear).

Check out the nice details like the ornate lugwork and the recessed "S" at the top of the seatstays. You can see the decals were something of an afterthought as they were not even clearcoated. Please note the picture of the bike outdoors is a more accurate representation of the color of the blue. The pictures I took indoors make the blue look darker than it really is.

The frame and fork are in excellent condition. My friend estimated he put less than 100 total miles on the bike. Judging by the chainring, crankarms, handlebar tape and saddle I have no reason to doubt him. There are some chips in the paint from being stored/moved around for the last 21 years. There are no dings, dents, or rust. When I removed the original Dura Ace seatpost, it slid right out like it had just recently been installed.

If you are interested in the frame, shoot me an email. I had this posted on eBay with a Buy-it-Now of $499 but apparently that is too high. So make me a reasnoable offer and you may end up with a sweet, one-of-a-kind candidate for a fixie or single speed conversion.

Thanks for looking.

Fat Chance Mountain Bike - $600 (Metro-West)

Date: 2009-12-09, 10:26AM EST
Reply to: sale-atugb-1502044096@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

For sale is a 1986 Fat Chance mountain bike bought directly from the Union Square, Somerville factory in 1986. I am the original owner, I picked out the frame myself at the factory back when I lived in downtown Boston. As you can see by the photos, this frame is MINT, I am not kidding, it was only ridden around downtown Boston, never off road and barely has 200 miles on it total. I stripped down the frame a bit so you can see the detail, everything is original, except that I had it converted to a single speed a few years ago so I could ride around the neighborhood with my kids, so the derailers are not hooked up. I took off the Suntour thumbshifters and put them on one of my other bikes, but I would include them if it was a deal killer. The few marks on the frame are from it falling against things in multiple moves and in my garage. The biggest mark is on one of the rear stays where a Blackburn Mtn frame was over the rear wheel. I took off the Fat Chance labels on the bike when I bought it so it would be less of a theft item, as you can see it has the American flag on the seat tube. For all of you Fat Chance fans, this is a very rare offering.

I am happy to put it back together as a full bike, or just sell the frame. I will be keeping the saddle. I know this is a large frame, I believe it was 21" when I bought it. There is a marking on the bottom of the bottom bracket 86291, which I was told made it a 1986 frame. I also have many other photos to send if you are interested.

Components: Strong seatpost, Tange headset, Specialized stem, Magura brake levers, Shimano BR MC 70 brakes, Sake FX crank, Suntour XC-tour pedals, Shimano F/R derailers, Sansin hubs, and Araya rims.

A few frame dimensions: Top Tube-Distance from ctr of stem to ctr of seatpost: 23". Head tube: 5.75" approx. Seat tube to ctr of crank: 22"

Rare, Collectible RALEIGH TEAM USA Road Bike - $450 (North SFV)
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...501850080.html

This is the commemorative 1985 edition of the historic Raleigh that was ridden for the first time, by the US Olympic Team in
the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles. A VERY HISTORIC BIKE. The team bike in 1980 was a HUFFY!! The Huffy
was so uncompetitive against the ultra-light racers being ridden by the Eastern Bloc teams,

THE ENTIRE US OLYMPICS CYCLING TEAM BOYCOTTED THE 1980 GAMES RATHER THAN RIDE THE HUFFY!!

Maybe this is a nice bike but this guy is re-writing history I think.

I'll assume the bit about boycotting Huffy is humor. If not, well...

I'd buy that bike, if it weren't where it is. Too hard to get to from the East Bay.
