Something definitely fishy about this one. It is missing the original saddle, seatpost, binder, pedals, toe clips/straps, stem, shifters, brake levers, bar tape, rims and tires. If this truly was a NIB bike, where are all the original parts? The frame and fork may even be repainted, the color looks a little dark to be original Kool Orange. With better pics I'd probably see more questionable items. Caveat Emptor!

In 1973, Schwinn replaced Kool Orange with Sunset Orange which is a little darker.

Not on the World Voyageur, those were only available in Kool Orange, Kool Lemon and Opaque Blue. I believe that in '74 one could order a WV frame from Schwinn in Sunset Orange though (as shown in the dealer parts catalog that year), this bike may be a NIB frame/fork with everything else built up from parts, many of which are unfortunately incorrect.

You're right! Although looking at the catalog photo for '73, it looks darker than Kool Orange. I wonder if it was a typo or they may have made a mid-year change in color.

I've seen a *lot* of these bikes and there was no mid-year color change. It is more likely that the white balance on the camera may make the color seem darker than it really is. Even if the color is correct that doesn't explain all of the incorrect components on a supposedly "NIB" bike.

Nice condition Italian 60cm (c-c) frame and fork for sale. Yes, although the decals say Colnago, it is not a genuine Colnago but is a high quality Italian frame that was repainted and had Colnago decals applied. However, the fork is a real Colnago fully-chromed fork that is worth at least $150 by itself. Includes very good condition smooth Campagnolo headset. Brazed on shift bosses, brake cable guides, and front derailleur tab. No dents or dings anywhere on the frame.

Would make an excellent riding road bike or a fixie.

^^^maybe OR maybe not! Never hurts to try. Have missed many myself but also scored beyond ridiculous. Often, the seller is waiting for the first buyer to show, who often doesn't.... go figure.... and if you're next on the list, its yours. I don't have the luxury of time but have been surprised seeing ads posted over a week and no takers! One seller was happy that I replied and pulled a bonus DL1 out of the barn for me. Others perhaps are too busy and dealing with a residential move, whatever with no time to waste.

Purchased at Bikes Not Bombs about 5 years ago. I rode it every weekday for work the first summer + fall so it has about two seasons worth of riding on it.

It has sat in the closet the past few years. The front tire is flat, but other than that it is in good condition.

One pannier bag, u-lock and helmet (if you want it) included. I also had two lights (one front white LED and one rear blinking red), if I can find those they are included also.

The stem shifters and stamped dropouts indicate that they are all low-end bikes. They might make good commuters, but I wouldn't waste a lot of time on them.
