Here's a guy who doesn't believe in taking too many things apart when selling components off a bike :

'complete crankset + chainset + bottom axle' - you can say that again; you even get part of the frame thrown in for free!

I regularly use a grinder to remove things when I can't find the right Allen key. I go through a lot of frames that way. But I save valuable seconds.

Yeah, but I'll bet welding those little bits of frame into your existing bike kills all the time-savings anyway.

Good luck using that hub- there's no way to remove the freewheel now, and the spokes can't be threaded without removing it. Maybe a person could build the hub into junk rim using just the other flange, and then remove the freewheel- but that could twist the hub right in half.
dumbass.

ive done it before.. basically you take the freewheel apart which allows you to get at the spokes, lace the whole hub to a rim, and then use a vice to remove the remains of the freewheel, not a fun job, but a worthy challenge if you like challenges I guess.

that's a real pain on a low flange hub. You may have some luck holding the hub body with wooden jaws and using a chisel on the freewheel.
With those components, that probably was a pretty nice bike. They look like they are in decent condition too. Wonder if it was stolen.

You could probably use the flexible emergency spokes to lace the hub to a junk rim, could get expensive though.
And while I'm not throwing an accusation out there, but I'm wondering if there is a strong u-lock or heavy chain still hanging where a bike used to be locked up at? Sometimes it's easier to chop a frame than to remove a lock with a lost key. Not saying anything about the seller, just curious is all.

It would appear the seller formerly ran an automotive chop shop for stolen cars, and has moved to bicycles, bringing his years of expertise with him.

You could be onto something. Like using the sliding hammer dent puller for removing stuck seat posts and stems instead of steering column locks?

Someone with lots of ingenuity could probably figure a way to use the existing spokes & attach them to a wheel. It would take tons o work & some luck as well.

old expression: "to a man with a hammer every problem looks like a nail".
To a man (used loosely) with an angle grinder...it slices, it dices, it chops, cubes and juliennes!

I wonder why he didn't include the 5" section of down tube underneath the shifters? He probably could have chopped it off faster than unscrewing the shifter band binder nut/bolt.
