I just finished sending mine through. I hope we can make 40 orders... I am still in either way. Thank you Charles

I suggest starting a new thread with your post as the first post, and something in the title saying that it is the official thread for ordering. Keep this thead open for questions, perhaps. (Otherwise, your post about ordering will be lost in the sauce.) Also, is a medium box needed for a single jersey? I would think it would fit into a small box.

UPDATE #8:
One astute C&V member has pointed out that folks may be eating beans and wieners until the next paycheck at end of the month; so I'm inclined to move the deadline back until early next week. There's no harm in submitting an order if you are definitely in -- I'll simply leave the “paid” checkbox open until you remit funds.

7 jerseys ordered + paid, two ordered but not yet paid. Wotan in Australia has another 10-12 orders (he's holding funds for now, because Paypal makes a surcharge on international payments, no matter what).

I'm going to log orders, but not do anything until a couple days after the end of this month (Feb), when people may have a bit more money and commit/pay. If things don't pick up a lot by Wed, then I'll request additional payment from those who agreed to buy at “less than 40” rate, and put those orders in. If, on the other hand, we can get up steam and make the 40, all the better. With the Australian contingent, we definitely have enough orders committed to make the 12-39 discount rate.

Sounds good. I'm in either way. Though, I may revise my color choice, based on your color choice update.

Thanks for keeping this moving forward!

I suggest checking the OCW Orders web page, making a style/size choice (but don't complete the order!) and you'll see what he lists as out of stock. Then make an order to me based on that, with alternate(s) clearly specified on the right side column, and I can deal with that when I actually submit to OCW.

STATUS: 22 jerseys ordered + paid, including orders from AU. 3 jerseys ordered but not yet paid.

Order info in the first post to this thread, at top of first page.

STATUS: (Thu 27 Feb, 9:00 AM EST) 23 jerseys ordered (including 15 in AU) + paid, three submitted w/o payment yet. The 12-39 discount rate is secure, but we're only a bit over halfway to the 40+ discount.

UPDATE #10:

STATUS: (Mon 1 Mar, 2:00 PM EST) 25 jerseys ordered (including 15 in AU) and paid, + 1 jersey ordered w/o payment yet. The 12-39 discount rate is secure, but we're only a bit over halfway to the 40+ discount.

PLEASE NOTE: It's quite possible that the folks in AU will have enough participants without USA orders to make their own order at the 12-39 rate. That would actually be a cheaper option (shipping-wise) for them, unless the 40+ discount is achieved for a combined order -- which would leave the USA folks possibly not even making the 12-39 rate. If that's how things end up, I would simply cancel the USA buy and refund money, because I can't justify penalizing AU participants to get the lower discount for USA, when they can do better on their own.

I know I said I'd post a review on the jersey last week, but I still have not received it. Apparently, he has some shipping issues. Supposedly, I'm supposed to have it "sometime this week".

I'm disappointed in the "after the sale" customer service so far.

My advice: P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E (something I lack)

OK folks. My long sleeved jersey arrived today.

I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am.

1. Not only did it take almost 2 weeks longer than the original time frame given (essentially doubling the amount of time I thought it would take),

2. it is MUCH TOO BIG! I typically wear size XL in pretty much any cycling jersey. Yes, I know that there are some variances from mfr. to mfr., but I'm swimming in this! The cuffs of the sleeves don not cinch tight on my wrists, and it's about 8" too long and hand down to the bottom of my butt cheeks.

3. The zipper is on the wrong side. the part that you pull up & down (don't know what the actual term is) should be on the right side for a male garment. This has it on the left side, as if it was made for a female. It makes zipping up cumbersome and non-intuitive.

On the plus side, the wool is nice and the flocking I had done well, and came out just how I thought it would.

I emailed him, but have not heard back yet. If he guarantees his work, and will do another for me, by the time I get it, the cooler weather here in Phoenix will be gone for pretty much 8 or 9 months and I won't be able to wear it. Then when the weather DOES cool down and I can wear it, I just know I'm gonna be pissed every time I pull it out when I think about how bad the whole experience was.

Dilemma.

Chad emailed me back.

No refund once any lettering is added. His sizes are "casual" and run much larger.

Essentially, he's telling me, "tough luck, bucko".

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you place your order somewhere else.

It sounds like I need to change my size then. I normally wear a large and ordered an XL!

What flocking did you get on it? The reason I ask is that I may be willing to swap. Loose is ok for me.
I ordered a xl ls half zip but I don't like things too tight. I was between the half zip and full zip anyway.

Just so everyone's aware (only one order for a full-zip so far): OCW's order page clearly says “Full Zip styles a larger more casual fit.“ Larger than the sizes for other jerseys, which are given on the lower part of the page.

If anyone has concerns about sizing, I suggest that he/she review the order page. My own (limited) experience is this: I have 42 chest, 16 neck, 34 sleeve and I ordered an XL fractional zip last year, which fits fine with a tee, plus either a turtleneck or a sport shirt underneath. If I were getting a short-sleeve, intending to wear only a tee, or nothing, beneath it, I'd probably order a Large instead.

About the zipper issue: I asked my spouse, who sews, and obviously wears women's clothing. She said that so far as she knows, all zippers are made with the moving part on the right side -- in other words, you fish the bottom of the left side into the zipper at the bottom when zipping up. If frpax's is reversed, it may just have been installed backwards. Some zippers have a moving part where the pull tab can be moved from inside to outside; so that's possible.
