crankset conversion (cottered to cotterless ???)

so I have a sekine SHA

this one in fact :

things changed a bit in the last 6 months 27" alloy wheels and brand new tires, new bar tape, new seat

I have a alloy drivetrain wandering around in my tool box and the crankset is cotterless, while my sekine has got cottered cranks on it.

are they compatable (yeah im changing the bottom bracket if it is necessary) ???

Changing bottom bracket is necessary. I'll leave it up to a pro to tell you how to do it.

Well, your bottom bracket spindle length needs to be long enough for your new crank and yes you need a cotterless bottom bracket.
