DeRosa Joy.
Hi,
I am new here and thought I would post my new project. I am an English Ex-pat currently working in Macau. This DeRosa is aluminium and I am nearly finished building it. Just missing chain and rear Titanium rear gear. Its for the most Campag 9 speed.. I am seriously looking forward to testing this one.
kindest regards
Mike Klein

Cool bike.
Got to make sure my wife doesn't see this one!!!
She's still racing tris this summer, and she was just telling me the other day about her team's new Felts.
I joked that if we get her a dedicated tri bike, it will be a De Rosa.
What year was this one produced originally?
Are you using her for tris or Time Trials or?
Do you have anymore pics?
....and finally. How about a ride report when you have her all finished please?

DeRosa
Hi,
I use this or will use it for Time Trials. I believe its a late nineties model and was used by an Italian DeRosa sponsored team. Interestingly the TT Bars are a set that was used By Danilo DiLuca and this is according to the DeRosa Factory and Urgo DeRosa. So the frame and some parts have history.. The Forks are steel by the way and frame is aluminium. The head sube is a shortened one to enable a lower position. The frame size is 54cm. The seatpin is a Campag Record Carbon and the sadle is a Fausto Coppi Carbon. Very comfortable.
Cheers
Chainwheel.

DeRosa
I am well aware of that thank you, also I am building this to suit myself and not others. I do have a DeRosa Pantographed seatpin which was original but I chose not to use it. The original bars were aluminium and were made by Deda. I also said that the carbon bars were from the DeRosa factory and not an integral part of the original machine. See attached photo to view the original bars.
Sincerely
Chainwheel.

Hi Chainwheel, welcome to C&V. Great bike with some interesting history. Bet you can't wait to ride it! What model rear derailleur are you going to fit?

Absolutely correct. No if about them, the bars were used by DiLuca. Which bike did you buy ?

The bike originally was equipped with a campag record nine speed. The rear gear was a Campag Titanium. The nine speed grupo was only manufactured for I believe 2 years. And I am so looking forward to getting it up and running.
