Have: 1997 58cm Waterford 1100 frame, no fork. Reynolds 531 tubing. Bike had a previous life as a commuter and as such has plenty of chips, paint bubbling and surface rust. I do not spot any deep rust anywhere. There is only one tiny almost imperceptible very shallow 1/4" line-shaped ding in the seat tube (circled in the last photo). I would recommend stripping and repainting the frame, but it could be a good "5 footer" with some extensive touchup.
Fork wants: Hunter Supercrown
Road Wants: 59-62cm early Specialized Expedition, Sequoia, or Allez. Possibly something else in that size range, handbuilt, interesting, or cantilever touring with tons of mounting points.
Mountain Wants: 21"-22" Schwinn Cimarron. 20" Kona Hot, Explosif, Sex, A'ha, or old Humu. 21-22" interesting rare 1980s MTBs. 20" interesting rare 1990's MTBs.

I have a 1985 Trek 560 49 cm with a bunch of touch up paint 501 Reynolds. Just the frame. I'd like to get something 56-58 cm that is similar in style and materials.

Thanks for the interest in the frames! The Trek 950 has a new home with a forum member, however the 1988 Nishiki Ariel is still available. The Ariel was second in hierarchy behind the Alien, the Ariel's frame and fork are full double butted Tange 4130 CrMo. The frame has no structural damage, no repair nor rust issues, only cosmetic flaws that are consistent with age (see photos).

'86 Miyata Seven-ten frame & fork, 48cm cc, HS, BB, & other parts if desired, swap for similar light-weight F&F, HS, BB, in 56-57cm. Frame is triple-butted, light & stiff, upright geometry, marketed as a Triathlon bike.

I have multiple road bikes in 531, 501, Tange 2, Tru-Temper, 6061 aluminum, Columbus Tenax, Champion, unbranded chromoly, all in 56-58cm. But the only Columbus SL in 57-58cm is my Serotta. But I have this to trade, 1984 Schwinn frame, fork & headset, 49cm. No rust, not used much from what I can tell looking at the components, scratches from poor storage practice.

Thanks for your reply oddjob, somewhere around medium, I guess 17-18"? I've made 20 fit before just fine, so it really depends more on the geometry and the rear dropouts,

Maruishi Road Ace 7. 61cm frame, trade for a 57-58cm frame. Looking for a touring, or relaxed geometry frame.
This bike is too big for me. I have ridden it hard for a few years, my daily commuter plus about 5000 miles of loaded touring. It's too big and I am finally fed up with it. I would like to trade it for a 57 or 58cm frame. I would like something that I can tour on, as I have another commuter now.
The paint is pretty beat, the underside of the downtube is the worst, from touring without using fenders. The frame is structurally sound. The headset is pretty worn out and probably should be replaced. Although it might only need to be cleaned/adjusted, it's a $10 headset.
I will be stripping all the parts off and only getting rid of the frame, fork and headset. I would clean it up before shipping it to anyone, but the paint is not going to look pretty. The "Road Ace 7" decals on the top tube are worn off from me not being tall enough to throw my leg over the tube.
The frame is triple butted lugged cro-moly, the fork says Ishiwata on it so I can only assume it's an Ishiwata frame as well. I think this was a highish-end frame, I think from 1986.

I've got this 54cm Quattro Assi frame, looking to trade straight across for something similar in value. I would even trade down a bit, if you even it out somehow. I need a 52cm. Not picky on material, but steel is a plus. Beer not included, but cranks, Chris King headset and seat post could be... I have it currently built up with a bunch of nice parts (ultegra RD, Shimano 105 shifters, etc...) and would trade it complete too...

I have held on to this for a couple of years, but it does not fit me. So it is time to pass it on. A Fuji Finest from 1976 - 52-53 cm seat tube, 54 cm top tube. This includes the frame and fork with headset cups. It was very rough when I got it, but some of it has been bathed in OA (it really needs the kiddie pool treatment). The photos are pre-treatment, so it looks better than the pix. I am looking to trade for something similar. I would prefer not to ship - I live near the Eastern Shore MD/DE/VA beaches, so if you frequent these places, we could meet and swap.
I also have most of the little clamp on stops, clamps, and etc. I would trade for a similar frame & fork in the 57 -61 cm range.

60cm Miyata 912
GOT: A recently picked up an 1983 Miyata 912. Double butted miyata CrMo. 60cm, 56.5 top-tube (per Miyata Catalogs). Paint isn't great, definitely a rider not a collector. Available as a frameset & headset & seatpost OR with additional odds and ends. (Including a higher end wheelset than I need: Superbe Pro hubs laced to Mavic OPEN 4CDs). Prefer local exchange in the front range of Colorado but can be talked into shipping.
LOOKING:
Option 1) Something of similar quality, 59-62cm and less aggressive geometry. (The 912 is 73/74). Plan is for a more upright townie which the 912 isn't ideally suited for.
Option 2) Something of similar quality, 53-56cm. To build a commuter for the better half. Vintage high-end rigid MTBs cool too.

Resprayed by previous owner a root beer Imron, it needs another one now. Previous owner also had a front der tab brazed on, and cable guides added to top tube, which are now corroded. If I had time, money and talent I would renovate this to its previous glory, but sadly I don't. Looking for a bit smaller frame, perhaps 24.5? I'm 6'3" and skinny. Something light and saucy, but with eyelets for racks and fenders so I can be a junior path racer if I am feeling spunky. Or a nice 80s/90s mountain bike/frame for a commuter conversion. Or, a nice ladies frame/bike for my 5'4" wife or 5'2" daughter.......surprise me! This needs to move on fairly quicky, I will be doing a basement remodel soon, and extraneous bike detritus needs to be disposed of.
