For me, personally, for my PSV:

.........it's white saddle, white bar tape, white levers, white lever hoods, white pedals.........as I think they pick up the bold white Peugeot brand graphics on the down tube.........but definitely not black tires!!.....

That saddle looks really good on that bike. I really want a cool 80's color bike.

I used white bar tape and white housing on my trek. but opted for black hoods, I should have used white for those also.

you will probably see me crash this bike! i havent ridden much since i was a kid, lol.... luckily it's something you never forget, i guess?! but with this weather lately, i am more interested in building it, than practicing my awesome bike-riding skills.....
speaking of which.... does anyone know if the levers & hoods that i posted are NOT going to work on my bike?? :\ i was thinking about trying it this weekend, but i would hate to tear this bike apart and then got stuck with parts that don't fit.....

Hey jecksida,

Your purple bike has inspired me. I have one of these (I believe) Vetta C-15 bike computers, NOS, NIB, in translucent purple/lavender:

(that's the translucent blue I believe)

I got this on my local CL. The picture was fuzzy and it looked black to me. Meet the seller and imagine my surprise when it's purple! For $10 I couldn't turn him down for having taking the time to meet me so I bought it just to not make his trip a waste. I had about forgotten about it until I was digging around in a drawer last night looking for things to eBay and I came across it. Your bike immediately popped in my head.

If you will PM me your address I'd be happy to toss it in a padded envelope and send it to you as my contribution to your bike. Most folks here know I like unusual colored bikes as well.

And I promise, even if tortured, I'll not give your address to any of the young guys here who might want to find you. I'm old and happily married, no threat here.

Yours if you want it. One caveat, I get a nice pic of the bike with it installed?

EDIT: I AM going to the post office in the morning...hint

EDIT2: The color is just about like this CatEye Mity in purple:

Ok jecksida, I packaged it up and will drop it off tomorrow but here's a preview of what's on the way. I think it will match the bike famously!

the white saddle, tape, and TIRE combination are a win, win, win in my opinion. you just have to clean the tires every so often

Like the tires I have on my Raleigh. The white strip on the tires matches the seat and bartape..
