I did not know seat clamps were so rare

One of my favorite sellers had a couple for sale. I'm always on the look out for spare parts, starting bid was a buck, I thought maybe i could get one on the cheap. I thought wrong.

This one, $238, https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MswSgE8D4%253D

This plain one, only $40, https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MswSgE8D4%253D

This one sold for $100 a while back. https://cgi.ebay.com/Italian-seat-cla...item3cb50b722b

I sold an Olmo gaspipe frame with the last seat clamp for $80. If I only knew ...

Old, hard to find, frequently damaged and more than one person was bidding.

What make is the bottom photo with the "Roman style" decoration? My all-original 1953 Claud Butler has one just like it - surface rusted but after a buffing with the soft wheel it's come out shiny.

I had no idea it was a "rare" part.
