Here's the family on my oldest daughter's first day of 1st grade this past Wednesday. We're getting ready to roll out. It was lightly raining, but that didn't stop up.

Just picking up the Company mail this AM.
I leave this bike at the office for anyone to ride. It takes a beating with 4 or 5 people riding it. I have not rode it in a week ,so I had to close the brake quick release, straighten the hanlebars and look for the bike compter that I never did find.

Looks like you've been spending some quality time in Idaho. I can't imagine why, everyone knows Idaho is just full of potatoes ... nothing to see here, move along.

Had to work in Boise, ID this week. On the 6 hr drive home I stopped in Durkee, OR and rode toward Baker City. There's a hill alongside the freeway that I've wanted to ride the past couple of trips through there. 95 degrees and a headwind for the 10+ mile climb to the top. The last two miles got real tough and I couldn't figure it out until I turned around and realized the front Continental Sprinter was low. I couldn't find any debris penetration on the tire and figured maybe it was the valve stem (the same problem happened once last summer). I put air back in and rode back down the hill. 5 miles later I needed to add some more air. Back at the van I couldn't find any problems with the tire and aired it up with the floor pump - so far no problems so I wonder if the temps on the road caused some of the problem. There was actually glue weeping out along the rim strip and wheel edge - so it was hot enough to soften the glue. Took 43 miles to climb 10.25 miles and 26 minutes to get back - downhill and a tailwind - that's my kind of riding.
Some photos from the desert:
This train passed me as I was starting out - finally passed the engine 6.5 miles into the climb

Putting toghether a 1975 Motobecane Champion Team and was missing some headset part. Campy NR, french thread to be exact. Went to a lbs on my lunch break ato get some loose bearings and bar tape for the project. On a whim I asked the shop owner if he had the headset parts I was looking for and he pulled this off his desk and charged me $20.

Unfortunately no riding today - log jam clearing needed on the creek and my two 7 yo's had their first ever soccer game. Here they are (in pink) playing some stellar defense:
