So now I get to finally join in this thread, been waiting for 8 years to be eligible for this. My Medici, 1978 as best could be figured by Drillium Dude, the man responsible for giving me the dreaded C&V disease.

Just a drive side shot against my truck.
Thanks to DD, Rootboy, and everyone else here, for the encouragement and advice as well as some great parts.

When those go by me on rides, I'm jealous.

Introducing myself here with this: 1974 Bridgestone Super-Light.
Bought new in Okinawa, it's been in dad's garden shed for the last 18-20 years. The freehub was frozen up, so I slapped the single on it, while I rebuild the rest of the driveline. Wet-sanded the paint, new brakes, seat, and bar tape put it back on the road. I left the cables long while I got the bar / stem / levers sorted out; they're back under control now.
I need to finish the derallieurs, since riding a single with a 53-tooth chainring is like lifting weights.

Just picked this Schwinn Super Sport up from my dad's today. Took a little bit of love since it's been in storage since the 80's, but it's good now.

Here is another build I just finished up last night! '84 Univega Viva Sport.
Sram Force 22. 53/39 chainrings, but may switch to a 1x in the future. 11-28 cassette. Had to use Ultegra 6800 brakeset for now, until I get the cash to order up some Paul Racers. Ritchey WCS stem, Zipp SL-88 bar, Thomson seatpost, and no name saddle as a placeholder. Will be adding older Dura Ace pedals with toe cages and Avocet straps for commuting in dress shoes. Wheels are from Oval Concepts. Not the lightest, but nice and wide.
Found some great red cloth tape today at an LBS, and added some matching red cable crimps.
Probably more tweaks to come, but a great, fast commuter for now!

Nice looking build. What is that rather cool looking flag above the bike?
Cheers.

That is some piece that was added during an art walk thing here in Traverse City, MI. This one is particularly British, as it was placed on the wall of my favorite Cornish pastie shop. I can get the provenance for you, if you like, next time I spin by.

My new commuter. '88 Schwinn Prelude with Columbus tubing. All new soft parts (i.e. tires, bar tape, brake pads), brake levers, and saddle. Added the rack and Ortlieb Pannier. Couldn't be happier with how this rides for just a few hundreds.

Nice Prelude!
Here's my 1988 Schwinn World Sport, although an entry level bike, she rides great. I have a complete set of Shimano 105 1050 components from that era that should fit(except the brake calipers) but for right now I think I'll keep her as is

1984 Fuji Espree that I picked up last week. $75 Craigslist find. Not high end or anything, but super clean and super nice rider. Took it on a 20+ mile group ride yesterday and it performed great.

Trek 660
Here's a Trek 660 I just finished building up. I had assembled most of a Galli group. Since the bottom bracket had British cups, that kind of eliminated 80s Italian frames from consideration. The Trek was handy, as it already had a Stronglight headset. All I had to do was swap in a Galli top nut I found. Voila! Galli headset!
Took it for an easy spin around town this morning. The bike tracks well and is a comfortable fit. I was really pleased with the brakes. I expected squealing with the oldish Campy pads and the anodized rims, but not a peep. I had the Fujita Belt saddle on another bike and didn't really like it. Tightening the adjusting nut a skosh seems to improved it.

Picked up a Gazelle Grand Tourist yesterday.
Sturmey Archer AB 3-speed hub (Seems to be from '81)
90mm drum brakes
Dynamo lights
Nothing too special but a nice basis for a local touring bike that can take some cargo or panniers once I put some racks on there.
It's in good shape and it will probably fix up nicely. Gotta love the aluminum foil + water trick on chrome.
Also bought 2 Batavus Champion a few weeks ago as a local bike for my girlfriend to use.
Also cleaned up nicely and €30 for two bikes is a steal.
I love the bell on this bike. I'll probably tear it down at some point, sand it and repaint it.
