'85 World Sport rebuild
I picked up this woman's 85 world sport for $40. Thought it would be a great rebuild for my moms for Xmas. Here are some before and after photos that I thought I would share.
I have been picking up and cleaning bikes, but this is the first paint job.

That's a good looking paint job. Is there a clear layer over everything?

Paint cost about $45 for the different colors. I decided against the clear coat finish because i liked the satin look of the final coat. It took me about 4 days to sand it down and apply all the different layers of paint. It could have been quicker but i was putting in a couple hours here and there after work. It was definitely a lot easier than I had expected it to be.
So overall with cost of bike, new paint, new tires, new chain, new cables & misc. the bike came in at a little under $150. I'd say that is not to shabby of a flip

Sweet! Superb job. The Asian Schwinns are popping-up all over the place. Nice to see people fixing them up.
