A new road bike that some of you might appreciate...
I just posted a link to this bike in another thread but after checking out the sale price for the Charge Juicer Hi on the Performance website I figured I'd start a thread. I've seen these in person (but not test ridden) and they're built quite nicely, have an amazing parts spec for the money, come with paint matched fenders, subdued graphics, classic/modern look, and can fit reasonably big road tires (IMO, as big as anything I'd ever want on a road bike). If the ride checks out (I've heard good things), it's a steal for $900. https://www.performancebike.com/bikes...73_-1___400319

Persoanlly for a "do all" bike in the price range you better of with the Bianchi Volpe (the original "Do All" bike) with a triple and rack mounts. Plus you get Cantis and better tire clearance for fatter tires.

The Volpe is fine but it's a different bike for a different type of rider so it's an apples to oranges comparison (double vs. triple, calipers vs. cantis, traditional road geo vs. slacker 'cross). It's also a few hundred bucks more than the Charge with a lesser spec. Again, the Volpe is OK but I wouldn't expect someone shopping for either bike to seriously consider the other.

I like that Juicer. I wonder how it compares to the Raleigh Record Ace for price.
I don't know how Reynolds 520 compares to Tange Prestige, but Prestige tubing is nice!
Pretty nice bike for the price. I can barely build a 25-year old bike with those parts for that price.
In fact, I can't.

It's a nice all around " New Production Bike". Good price too. The Raleigh Record Ace, is around $1600.00, also more racer style geometry

I wish somone would import this bike. The Maruishi Emperor Touring, steel lugged frame, real fork, fully loaded and looks like the Japanese price is around $1300.00. (Maruishi built bikes for Lotus).

The Masi Special Rando is in the same price range, still a welded frame but a nicer looking fork I think
