The Volpe is fine but it's a different bike for a different type of rider so it's an apples to oranges comparison (double vs. triple, calipers vs. cantis, traditional road geo vs. slacker 'cross). It's also a few hundred bucks more than the Charge with a lesser spec. Again, the Volpe is OK but I wouldn't expect someone shopping for either bike to seriously consider the other.
