Dang! They were much higher when I needed one a few weeks back for my late '80s Fuji Saratoga commuter.

I bought some kevlar house brand tires from Performance instead. On sale for $12+ and I like them so far, but not gumwall. :-(

I'm trying to decide whether to order 1 1/8 or 1 1/4 for my PX10.

You have 27's on your PX10?
Anyway, better decide quick or they'll be GONE!

1 1/4 are pretty big tires. I have them on a s/s because they look cool but you can feel the extra rubber, for sure.

I built the wheels for it back in the days when 700c tires were hard to find.

I think I'll stick with the 27 X 1 Paselas that are on it. I don't ride it much anyway.

I just hate to pass up a great deal like that. Their shipping charges are reasonable, too.

Go with 1 1/8 GB. 1 1/4 just look too fat on a lightweight, IMO.

I've been looking all over for some 27" x 1" tires to replace my very old Specialized 27 x 1 Kevlar's that I bought when Specialized was just a start-up & were only selling tires. I almost went for the 1 1/8" one's until I saw they also came in 1". I think I got my use out those old boys...lol.

Thx for the heads-up coop ...

That's what I was thinking, but Grant Petersen would not agree.

I'm thinking even the 1 1/8 inch Paselas look a little "fat" on my TdF. Of course, both our bikes were made for 700c wheels and skinny tires, so maybe it's just a psychological thing, but I mentally note it almost every time I look at my Gitane. Perhaps it's just the contrast.

Oh and, Auchencrow, I have 27's on my Gitane as well !
