My fingers miss the grease of wrenching.

Last year at this time, I did a fair amount of bike wrenching and my fingers and hands hardly ever needed handcream. Must have been the magic of Park bike grease that kept my hands soft and undamaged.

Unfortunately, moving has kept me away from wrenching so no daily grease. Instead I do manual work like cleaning, unpacking, peeling wallpaper, pulling up carpet and moving furniture and corrugated around. Also, no dishwasher except my hands!

I have three splits in the fingertips under the fingernails and even touch typing hurts.

Any suggestions?

If anything, my hands are drier this season from using Orange Goop to wash off the grease!

↑ Aye, I agree. Beer cures much.

Also try lanolin.

Lanolin and gloves - if you must wash something -(as well as at bed time).

Cornhusker's Hand Lotion and gloves when you wash dishes, as said above, we use the CHL on the jobsites every day, especially when we are busting and tying rebar or hanging iron. Not expensive at all and on the shelf at most stores.
