Suntour Cyclone (6000) RD question
I have one of these that I was going to put on my commuter. On the pivot for the cage, the nut (allen key) screws onto the cage pivot shaft, which has a slot in it. When I try to tighten it up, it only goes so tight, then slips. On a Cyclone MkII GT I have, there was a small "T" shaped piece of metal which fit into the slot on this. I think it is in there to expand the slot out so that the external threads tighten fully on the nut. The 6000 was missing this; I tried making one from a scrap of metal, but don't think it is quite thick enough.
Anyone else seen these and know if you can get a replacement (fat chance)? Or does anyone have an exploded parts diagram showing this? It is different from the diagrams on The Yellow Jersey site.

Thanks!

No one? Out of all the Suntour experts here?
I took the GT apart; the metal piece in it was 0.92mm thick. The piece I had made (if you can call it that) was 0.6mm thick. I put the stock piece from the GT in the Cyclone 6000, nut tightened right up. I had some copper sheet samples, one of which (22 or 24 ga) happened to be right at the correct thickness, so made a replacement (tin snips, less than a minute), put it in and it works fine, so I think I am good.
I would still like to find an exploded view of this revised design as both the Cyclones I have use this design rather than what is shown at The Yellow Jersey site. Instead of the internally threaded cage shaft (21) shown, mine have an externally threaded shaft with a slot in it (for the spring), and the nut is internally threaded. Maybe they were having problems with the "nut"? Mine also have more of a band type spring rather than the coil type shown.
