Not mine, though it might be, I got to test ride this at work and liked it. A Charge Cooker Maxi, a lesser seen one. Made with Tange steel tubing, so a bit more C&V friendly.

Those fatties look pretty cool, and I bet they'd be a lot of fun for the right application. I would really question doing a South America tour on one, though, simply because of availability. What do you do if you need to buy a new tire in the middle of Bolivia? Most of the folks touring in places like that are on regular 26" tires and rims, which are almost universally available. They are usually the local tire of choice, and do the job under all but the most extreme conditions.

I am looking one for the beach area around here as well. Do you do anything special about the salt water/rust. Ie prep or cleaning.

Rode a fat tire for the first time this weekend. Although I didn't test ride where I would consider using it for, it gave me a good vibe

I just bought a "Framed" brand fatbike from the LBS. I came with a free pair of 29er wheels that you can change out and ride on skinny's. It's a minnesota company so I figured why not. I love it, Been riding it almost every day for a week since I got it and still haven't put on the skinny's. Not sure if I ever will. Fun to ride, looking forward to trying it out on the ski/snowmobile/lakes this winter.
