Schwinn Kool Orange specification?
Hello All:
Do any of you happen to know the color code for Schwinn Kool Orange? I might be interested in having some paint mixed locally.
Alternatively, how close would you say RAL 2005 is to Schwinn Kool Orange? The RAL is a standard power coat color. Or if you happen to know of another standard color please let me know.
Thanks,
Jim

KOOL ORANGE is very close to a 1969 Chevrolet color (Hugger orange) used on Camaros. also known as red-orange code 72. If you have a sample, the paint store can adjust the tint for a perfect match. But I found this to be very close.

Hyper-Formance carries Kool Orange in pre-packaged spray cans, half pints, and 1 oz. touch-up.

Here is a STINGRAY I did in base coat/clear coat acrylic urethane. I put the water slide stickers on the base color, (sticker set from Pete at hyper-formance rays) and then followed with the urethane clear and buried the stickers in the clear.

Thanks Hoss and Scooper! I actually had found the Hyper-Formance but was hoping to just walk into my local auto paint supplier and give him the rgb color code. If I can't find it then Hyper Formance or GM Hugger orange (stunning Camaro and Stingray!) will do nicely.
Thanks,
Jim
