Do you have a Bertin with full campy that I can part out? I have a prince in Nigeria that I'm working for, and we need help to make this happen.

Pets generally don't peeve me if they are well-behaved.

I can tell you what I really like: Threads like this one where I can post without actually knowing what I'm posting about.

(In C&V it's hard to know more and easy to know less than everyone else.)

@southpier, that peeve gets my attention. I have been struggling at work with a culture that uses the same word for multiple definitions. I know I can't spell and my English is poor, but come on, how can an assessment document you just created be an artifact or product! What is the difference between "want," "need", "idea," "concept," "requirements," "specifications," and "product?" To me an artifact is something you found in the dirt without knowing who created it, maybe what it is and not knowing how old it is!

Well, to me, as an archaeologist, an artifact is something made or intentionally modified by human hands. Doesn't matter where you find it. It's a specific term for a very large category of objects. And it's one of those terms that's really of use only to the people who actually need it. Others will tend to misuse it. I think this is true of a lot of words, no? Some people distinguish between bees and wasps; others call them all bees, much to the apiarists annoyance. Some people distinguish between apes and monkeys, others don't. And so on ad infinitum.

It's hard. Really hard. I have been hearing bike people preferentially using 'Campy' since the early '70s. It is firmly in the vernacular now.

Cars like that risk being 'keyed' with a sharp object.
