Here are some BF C&V specific pet peeves, all of which have happened to me:
--When a BFer claims a part you offer on the "pay-it-forward" thread and then sells it on eBay.
--When a BFer makes a trade with you and sends you absolute crap.
--When a BFer tells you a sad story, so you offer said BFer parts at your cost or an entire bike, all of which end up for sale.

TimmyT, that picture made me laugh so hard the first time you posted it. And now I'm laughing again. I just love it.

I can tell you what I really like: Threads like this one where I can post without actually knowing what I'm posting about.

I'm peeved that I can't think of anything clever or witty to post this morning.
I just thought of a new peeve: OPs and FUPs who are convinced we can read their minds and have magical telepathic powers to visualize what they are seeing. For instance:

@southpier, that peeve gets my attention. I have been struggling at work with a culture that uses the same word for multiple definitions. I know I can't spell and my English is poor, but come on, how can an assessment document you just created be an artifact or product! What is the difference between "want," "need", "idea," "concept," "requirements," "specifications," and "product?" To me an artifact is something you found in the dirt without knowing who created it, maybe what it is and not knowing how old it is!

Well, to me, as an archaeologist, an artifact is something made or intentionally modified by human hands. Doesn't matter where you find it. It's a specific term for a very large category of objects. And it's one of those terms that's really of use only to the people who actually need it. Others will tend to misuse it. I think this is true of a lot of words, no? Some people distinguish between bees and wasps; others call them all bees, much to the apiarists annoyance. Some people distinguish between apes and monkeys, others don't. And so on ad infinitum.
