Those pretentious pseudo literate liberal college professor wannabes that start threads commanding "Discuss."

Example: "There is pig s*** between my ears. Discuss."

Who the sam h*** do you think you are anyway? Start a decent conversation and then see where it goes.

Those are the same ones who pontificate and use the word "said" as in "...said pig s***"

Thank you Roger, for the perfect quote, which in a single word, describes that bone chilling "I'm going to impress you" behavior:

But if you can see past it there's a long line of cars continuing to block the bike lane. It's just so overcrowded in this area, there's parking issues everywhere. That's just the way it is, bike lane is primarily for parking, secondary is bikes. Not ALL bike lanes, but any ones that go through residential areas. Sounds stupid, it is.

Bike paths here are built primarily to get the large quantity of working bikes, trikes, and pedestrians off the roads. And they are always separated from the road. Anyone, at anytime can feel free to usurp it for their own purposes.
Discuss.

No, Raleigh_Comp, I think the road designer is the stupid one, putting the bike lane in the gutter.

Those who spell Campagnolo with an "a" at the end instead of an "o".

Yeah, that bugs me a little bit.

I hate the concept of "holy grail" when it comes to bikes.

and i hate hippies.

I'm just kidding, i dont hate hippies. Please dont pm me. I hate pm's even more. I also hate pms.

i hate bike advocacy groups. Mostly they just make cyclists look crazy.

I hate roadies, because , i mean, get a sense of humor.

i hate the bragging , humble or otherwise about your bike collections. No one cares. Im not impressed. I mean, some of those bikes are cool. But that in no way makes you personally cooler.

grown men, please dont post pics of yourself laying on the ground with your bike collection. Its creepy. Really creepy. Pedifile creepy. Several of you whose posts i otherwise enjoy have done it.

Spouting bs youve read on the internet like youve been an expert on the subject since birth. We are not idiots. We know you learned it right here, the same place we did.

saying/typing things in italian or french to sound cool. Again, you're not cool. Or you are, but not because you did that.

Saying/typing "bicycle". In and of itself thats ok, but i noticed a few people here always refer to bikes as bicycles. Never "bike". Never "ride". Never anything else. that sounds pretentious. I dont know why. This is the pet peeve thread though so whatever.

taking everything wayyyy too seriously or having no social skills. Or both. If you ever had to block someone, send someone a pm or email to express your opinion, threaten to "leave" or "come back", have the last word, cite your prior knowledge as an expert in some field, humblebrag about how you were best friends with Tulio, or get angry about someone posting something you dont like, you are probably a victim of taking things wayyy too seriosuly. Or you have no social skills. Either way, thats a pet peeve of mine. Maybe you have aspergers, which isnt a pet peeve of mine because you cant control that. That said, if you do, if you could put it in your sig so we can be forwarned, we'd all appreciate it.

Pet peeve threads are also a pet peeve of mine. Dont like em.

I'm amused when people call a bike seat a saddle. The bike has seat stays, seat tube, seat tube lug, seat clamp, seat clamp bolt, seat post, and seat post clamp. Some even have seat springs. All to deal with the seat. Horses have saddles. Cars have seats. Pants have seats. Bikes have seats. I think they call it a saddle to make it sound better and justify Brooks' high prices.

Good point, CroMo Mike. I think it must go back a long ways. The leather thing. Similarity to what one straps on to a horse, etc.

this thread has just jumped the whale shark.

i'm not sure $90 is too much to charge for a new b17 saddle that will last years. i usually sell my old ones for $70ish.
