Preserving local C&V history is fun. Someone has to do it. That is why I have a Raysport.

You know he's going to get around to it someday. I'm just glad all his bikes are size too small for me. He doesn't live that far away.

"Dude's Destiny". D - D, heck I'd buy it if it was panto-ed on a Copenhagen townie fork.
Awaiting it's full disclosure.

Dude...I'm off the forum for a few weeks dealing with the new job and you pick up a new ride? After all your talk of "culling the herd?" Seriously!

Sorry for the delay, but Cino got in the way
A couple disappointments have me still waiting on one part to complete this project: a Campagnolo English BB for a 68mm wide shell.
However, it's that close. It is a Bill Davidson (although some of the latest takes on DD have made me think of renaming it); Bob Freeman guessed late 70s/early 80s. Campy ends, Columbus SL stamping on fork steerer and nicely-filed bikini lugs. Paint sometimes looks magenta, other times purple depending on the light. Yellow decals, so my accent-work will be yellow, too.
Campy SR build on this with the exception of the seatpost, which is an Otis-modified NR I got from him over 3 years ago. Time to put it to use.
So, hopefully a couple more days. I'd take some pics, but personally I think it looks dorky without a crankset but with everything else. Maybe I'll take some frame detail shots tomorrow.

Well, heck - what's one more bike? Even so, I'm selling at least one bike and two frames in the near future, so I still come out with a deficit. This one is really neat, and I'd use it as a daily driver, as suggested by mrybczyn.

Thank you! They still have a few on the rack - I was down on Wednesday to get some sundry items at EBB.
I went a little crazy on the accent painting today since I'm stuck until a BB arrives. I have one really good chance and perhaps another from two different C&Vers as of today. Looks like I could probably finish this by early next week if the USPS is on their toes.

Thanks, Aaron; this is a neat color combination I've not worked with before. Spent all day today with my model paints IOT get this one just right. Almost there!

Well, whatdyaknow - I got a BB from Bob Freeman this morning and got to put it in this afternoon, thus finishing off my newest bike and even getting a chance to take it for a quick spin around the complex.
Btw, both times I've put a Campy English-threaded BB into a shell, I've always had to torque like crazy on the fixed cup (the Sparrow took a lot of effort, too). I've never had this problem with an Italian-threaded BB. And yes, in both cases I cleaned and greased all the threads. Anyone else? Is this endemic to English-threaded BBs and shells?
Anyhow, I got a number of pics today. Here's a quick little sample:
Details a little later...

I'm thinking that the only negative here is that it seems a wee bit on the small size. I can put up with it for short half-day rides, though - although I may have to change out the saddle. We'll see. I haven't ever ridden on a Turbo, and I have a Concor Supercorsa butt; I've never known anyone who could go between the two. Most people I know prefer one or the other...
Rain cancelled today's ride, so hoping for dry weather tomorrow. Either way, the weekend is supposed to be another hot one, so one way or the other it's hitting the road in earnest soon

DD = Dirty Dalton (a name my Father picked up as a consequence of his over the top practical jokes)
Oh, the bike. Very nice. Very nice indeed. And nicely done with respect to attention to detail. My bike is filthy, the color detailing doesn't match as most came from a previous bike which was a different color, but it still rides good!
