Well, whatdyaknow - I got a BB from Bob Freeman this morning and got to put it in this afternoon, thus finishing off my newest bike and even getting a chance to take it for a quick spin around the complex.
Btw, both times I've put a Campy
English-threaded
BB into a shell, I've always had to torque like crazy on the fixed cup (the Sparrow took a lot of effort, too). I've never had this problem with an Italian-threaded BB. And yes, in both cases I cleaned and greased all the threads. Anyone else? Is this endemic to English-threaded BBs and shells?
