Those Frenchmen are classically crazy, and surely this ride will prove to be exquisitely vintage. for certain!

I was disappointed to see this thread is not about Drillium Dude. So they call that a bicycle? That's one crazy Frenchman. Talk about white knuckling it. But still not a bicycle in my book.

It looks like the traditional drivetrain serves no real purpose. I call this a rocket-powered motorcycle or scooter. Maybe a rocket moped if I'm being generous. It's still a pretty crazy ride. Not sure how it would do on the Alps d'Huez.

Much like his combination of a ponytail and a bald patch, speeds like that on such tires are a recipe for disaster.

I must confess, there often comes a time on a ride when I fantasize that a little rocket propulsion might come in handy right about now. But some fantasies are best left as fantasies.

I wonder if rocketman here fantasizes about steering that thang... eh, he better not try it.

What, you think he should be worried about drag from the ponytail?

I think it allows him to get rolling and stable before lighting the rocket. Starting the rocket from a dead stop probably wouldn't work well.

I believe it would enable a descent at terminal velocity, with no survivors.

NOT a bicycle, but WoW! Wouldn't want to do that on bike tyres. I have a feeling this is the same guy who crossed the English Channel with a winged suit and rocket pack? If so, I saw him land at Dover but couldn't get close enough to check out the pony tail...... Maybe the combination of bald patch and pony tail is the effect of G-forces dragging the hair off the back of his head???
