organized bike rides in the NE for C&V

anyone know of organized bike rides for folks who like the C&Vs in the NJ/NY area?

just saw the ad for GranFondo NY vintage, but I'm not really interested in those $300 a pop hipster rides

No, but I don't do "organized" rides. Well, hold on... what do you mean by "organized," anyway?

If by "organized" you mean someone just set a date, planned a route, announced it and hoped for the best; IOW provides nothing else, no cost, no swag, no umbrella girls, then yeah that happens. Keep an eye on this forum. The next one I know of is April 11th in central NJ (out around Freehold and the Pinies somewhere). I'll post another notice about L'Ombra New Jersey in a couple of weeks.

Another on Patriots Day out on Cape Cod (is that the Adams/Washington/Revere sorta Patriots Jim? Or the Tom Brady/Inflategate sorta Patriots?)

No formal calendar posted anywhere that I know of though.

Here in the greater Boston area the New England chapter of the Veteran Cycle Club does monthly rides about 10 months out of the year.

I'll ask around at some MeetUp groups for interest

Prowler, sadly, lot's of the young people don't know the difference.

It's also know as Marathon Day. I used to take the train into the city every year with my bike and ride and hang out at the finish line area .. the last time was too close for comfort.
