Anyone that really believes weight has anything to do with us warning ppl has missed the point entirely of our posts. Not just on here, anywhere. Weight is the least of Erics issues! The very least! Ppl get scammed, they're pissed. Ppl are warned so they do not get scammed, they're pissed! And for the record,we are in fact two separate ppl. I think we have proven that time and time again.

Stefan Molyneux, is quite the character himself I might add. I stopped listening to his podcast as I found it too depressing, not that I disagree with his assessments.
However for me, when I started to realize the cycle of abuse that has existed for generations, and continues on to this very day, its a such a dark rabbit hole, that anyone with a soul might not escape the darkness that psychopathic behavior has created.
The behavior exhibited by the individual in question certainly fits this pattern of abuse.
I imagine reality must be a real horror show for this individual, so much so, that a fantasy has to be created where the victim of abuse is the hero, and everyone who disagrees must be the enemy.
Perhaps I am seeing this all wrong, as I don't have any firsthand information.
Mental health 101, if you are a danger to yourself, or others seek help.
This person doesn't need money or material objects, they need an intervention, perhaps it is past the point of no return?
Food for thought.

Welp, looks like Eric has a bike, Eric has a trailer (reduced in weight), Angie has a bike and tomorrow is test ride day so NOT go go go day. Looks like Saturday is the new Grand Departe.
Of course, Eric's vicious summer cold may still affect the departure.
Did anybody take me up on my bet of $1 that they wouldn't leave Friday? Let's make it Saturday in stead to spice it up a bit.

I doubt I'll ever see < 200 lbs. I'm 6'3". But it's all good. Water off a duck's back.
On a positive note: I think that regardless of what Eric accomplishes his fan page will certainly inspire some people (bless their blinded hearts) to lose weight and get in shape. It's probably worth the 10-15k in donations for the 10s or 100s of people who actually change their lives--intentionally or otherwise.
I'm still rooting for him.

Some of us are obese, some of us are large... Key thing is this sport weight is very signficant. Like equipment has to be carefully selected or custom built to be useable and safe...
We -try- to keep it upbeat, and supportive down right encouraging regardless...
I hope we can return to a positive tone.

MOD NOTE: We have a lot of new members here, and most are here because of this thread. Quite frankly, this thread is NOT a good representation of what this community is all about. Bike Forums has many sub-forums. Some you can say just about whatever you want. One (and only one) allows you to speak of politics and religion. The C/A forum is the single-most encouraging sub-forum on the site. Personal attacks are never allowed. Period. Please keep that in mind moving forward.
EDIT: While I posted this note, some other mods were discussing the post that I can only describe as an irate rant and deleted it. Now there are posts that react to the rant that make no sense, therefore, those will be deleted so the thread continues to make sense.

I hope all the newbies here because they are interested in cycling as a way to have fun, get fit, be truly inspired, maybe even meet new friends...look at more than this thread and stick around

I made a general observation about the two family members who have been posting but I think my post got deleted anyway.

My post is gone, hopefully those two miscreants are also gone and let's carry on hoping Eric can get all his *** in one sack while acknowledging that it's probably never going to happen.

I'm going to revise/retract my earlier assumption that he's doing this subconsciously. It's pretty evident to me he's suckering a gullible public and has no plans whatsoever on biking any significant distances.

Not sure how your post got so misinterpreted. Eric has indeed been playing the religious angle and you merely pointed out that his words do not match his actions, which seems to be a pattern in other aspects of this whole thing, such as the biking and the diet. I am one of the least religious people I know and at no point did I read your comment to say "You are a bad person if you don't go to church" or something similar.

I'm quite spiritual but not in an organized fashion, IE no Church, the world is my Church and I can talk to my higher power any time :-). But like many others I do notice when people make public displays of theology for reasons other than "testifying" for lack of a better word. There are times when I KNOW I am there to share my spiritual experience and I do so then but otherwise you might confuse me with a garden variety heathen :-),

U.S. 1 eventually takes you to the Bronx. And unless you take the GW Bridge, I think the only other way to cross the Hudson River on a bike is way up at Poughkeepsie, NY, which is actually a nice way to go. There is a an old rail bridge that has been turned into a bike/ped crossing high above the river. From there he could pick up Adventure Cycling's Atlantic Coast route south to Philly. Heading north, the ACA route goes through CT. He really should buy the appropriate map section, make his way to NW CT and jump on the route somewhere up there and head south. Of course, that would require a good deal of hills. But crossing the GW and ending up in that part of NJ without being familiar with the area is very risky. Very densely populated with a lot of traffic in many places, including industrial traffic.
Eric: Are you listening?

I really hope he does get on the bike and start riding. There's only so many times, and so many ways we can all say that he's never going to do it. It would be really nice to be able to have a new angle to talk about. Like we all are, I'm hoping that we [strike]soon[/strike] [strike]eventually[/strike] [strike]someday[/strike] ever have a chance to discuss his ride, route, challenges and successes. And there's no following that. I really hope he starts riding....tomorrow!
