I sense age discrimination. The AARP is going to hear about this

Yes... she's a Brittany, which I think is part dog, part mongoose. She has two speeds - whirlwind and asleep. She's about 6 months old now and works our other dog over like a heavy bag (you can see Daisy in the background hidingn in her crate. lol )

I was testing a new flash and she was giving me funny looks.

A GMR ride was mentioned during our Pizza Port ride.

Any interest in this?

Looks like it is on Thanksgiving weekend, probably won't do it then due to the kids being home that weekend.

Nice Video! I might do that ride but I am committed to the Crystal Lake ride the day before so we will see.

Thanks for vid! Was there a female on ride? I'm so bummed about not doing this. I lost my job and $ tight and could not spend the $ that went with this.

My wife was the only lady who made the trip. She managed about a 13.5mph average, which (as I tried to tell her) is fantastic for a 75 mile ride when that rider averages only about 25 miles a week. She remains unconvinced.

MrsIsotope did great. I was behind her and she was holding a 19 mph pace after we started out along SART! My wife averages 50 miles per week but she won't/can't do more than 20 in a single ride. I'm convinced, hope you can convince her. I did feel for her a bit at the regroups, almost as soon as you all rolled up off we go again. I know what that's like, that was me a couple years ago. Hope she had a good time.

Sorry to hear about the job. Happened to me in July, so now I'm self-employed. I'm real busy, but it's going to take a while to translate busy into positive cash flow. I'm convinced it's for the best. If nothing else I'm riding a lot more. Good luck.

It's a go pro hero 3+ black - it was mounted right under my garmin on a k-edge combo mount.

I do have the go pro handlebar mount and I hate it - the camera just won't stay put. This k-edge version is very solid, but it does pick up quite a bit of road buzz. I just leave the housing on the bike even when I'm not using the camera.

I'll do it when it's daylight again.

This is the mount I got:

Thanks! It looks like K-edge makes versions for mounting a just GoPro, or even one for mounting just a tripod-threaded camera ... sweet!

@TrojanHorse, I was talking with my former business partner last night, he lives in the Dana Point area. Turns out he knows the owner of the Shwack. So I told him to relate our experience next time he sees him. For @PhotoJoe, I specifically mentioned the mass quantities of bacon sitting there in the we-won't-sell-it-to-you pile!

All PhotoJoe wanted was a big bacon salad! He must be related to my son.

And I'm still disappointed in my lack of ahi burger... I actually planned my eating around stopping at the schwack and as a consequence, didn't eat enough (until the Pizza Port, when I more than made up for it). I was feeling decidedly weak going through the marine base. And old, compared to all the marines walking around.

I planned to eat there as well, but I still brought a Bonk Bar and a Clif Bar. Figured I would probably come home with both of them, but as it worked out I ate them both. These, with the croissant and coffee in San Clemente worked out to be just enough to get me to the Pizza Port, where I more than made up for it too!
