yeah, with a this talk of flats, I got a flat friday evening, first one in years. I only had a co2 inflator and patch kit, forgot my phone, that didn't matter either since my wife was out with my daughter all evening. I was able to repair it and make it home no problem. But I was worried all the way home since I normally don't repair the holes well with the first patch. I checked it today and it is still holding air.
An additional tip if you use CO2 inflators carry at least 3-4 CO2 cartridges. It took one to find the leak and a second to inflate the tire after patching the holes. I like the security of the 2 extra cartridges incase the patch job wasn't very good.
I am not buying new tires since this was a pinch flat (snake bite) assisted by an under inflated tire.
I think I will ride my bike with tubular tires tomorrow, I will bring a spare tubular with that one.
